End Slavery and Trafficking
NOT IN OUR BACKYARD!
Human trafficking happens every day in central Florida—sex trafficking and labor trafficking, adults, teenagers, and very young children. It is happening in our own
backyard. In fact, Florida ranks third in the number of calls reported to the national anti-trafficking hotline. These horrendous statistics must be a wake-up call to the Body of Christ. The faith community must work together to solve this problem. In the words of abolitionist William Wilberforce, “Not on our watch!”
For the past year, many congregations from across central Florida have been meeting together as a group of interested faith-based organizations looking for a way to help. The group developed into a subcommittee of the Greater Orlando Human Trafficking Task Force (GOHTTF). This subcommittee is known as the Faith Alliance to End Slavery and Trafficking (FATEST).
Join us on the first Thursday of each month. The meetings are hosted at member church and organization sites.
Guest speakers, local project updates, networking and Task Force updates are a few of the exciting details that are included each month. Want to learn more? Want to get your church involved? Simply click the button to join.
Faith Community Rallies to Support
Anti-Human Trafficking Initiatives
There are many ways to support the Greater Orlando Human Trafficking Task Force and what the Faith Alliance is doing. You, your church or a network of churches can all help in some way.
Make in-kind contributions, volunteer, refer a friend to join the movement, join one of our outreach activities, or give financially to an activity.
How do I get involved? This is one of the first questions we receive from the faith community.
Interested? It is easy to get involved in several practical ways. Each of the connection points are specific ways that you or your church connect with the Faith Alliance Movement.
We need an army of volunteers to wage the war against trafficking.
Ready to begin?
Our mission is very simple. Equip those who have been led to serve in a social justice ministry. Let's do what we can together!
When we build a strong network of churches and faith organizations who can come together around a common cause, the chances of making a greater impact increase exponentially.
Join the cause, make a difference.
